Drilling to start at Bird Reef Central
Uranium-Gold Project
West Wits Mining Limited (ASX: WWI) (OTCQB: WMWWF) (“West Wits”, “WWI” or “the
Company”) is pleased to advise that it has commissioned a 17-hole diamond drilling program
at its Bird Reef Central (“BRC”) Uranium-Gold Project in Johannesburg, South Africa, with
drilling scheduled to commence by the end of November 2026.
HIGHLIGHTS
➢ Drilling to commence by end November 2026: executed drilling contract for a 17-hole,
5,750m diamond drilling program. Holes spaced approximately 250m apart will test 4km
of strike of the Bird Reef package at down-dip depths of 100m to 400m.
➢ The staged BRC exploration program targets two value catalysts:
• Uranium – maiden Mineral Resource: undertake drilling and evaluation of the
uranium mineralisation with the objective of providing sufficient data to assess
whether a maiden Uranium Mineral Resource can be estimated at BRC.
• Gold – Mineral Resource growth and upgrade: expand the existing BRC gold MRE
of 1.38 Mt at 2.66 g/t Au for 117,600oz Au2 and improve the confidence level to
support a potential feasibility study.
➢ Gold and uranium occur in closely spaced reefs within the same Bird Reef package,
creating the potential to mine both metals from shared infrastructure in a standalone
operation.
➢ BRC sits within the Company’s existing Mining Right, which permits the extraction of
gold and uranium.
➢ Funded program with staged milestones: The program is funded from existing cash
reserves, with results to be reported progressively as each of the three stages is
completed through H1 2027.
➢ Upside, BRC outside of Project 200 growth plans: BRC uranium is not included in the
Project 200 Scoping Study, giving shareholders additional potential dual-commodity
optionality alongside the Company’s gold growth pathway.
West Wits CEO and Managing Director, Rudi Deysel, said:
“Qala Shallows gives us a producing gold foundation; Bird Reef Central gives shareholders a second,
independent growth option within the same Mining Right. We already hold the rights to mine both gold
and uranium at BRC and we already have a declared gold Mineral Resource there and a uranium
Exploration Target.
This drilling is designed to seek to convert that position into a potential maiden uranium Mineral
Resource and a larger, higher-confidence gold Mineral Resource – the inputs we need to assess a
standalone uranium-gold development. With drilling staged over around six months, shareholders can
expect regular news flow as results come in.”

BRC Uranium-Gold Project: Background and Exploration Plan Overview
BRC is a standalone uranium and gold opportunity within the Company’s Witwatersrand Basin Project
(“WBP”) Mining Right area, approximately 4km north-west of the Company’s Qala Shallows operating
gold mine. BRC targets uranium and gold in closely spaced reef horizons of the Bird Reef package: the
White Reef, historically the focus for gold, and the overlying Monarch Reefs, which host the uranium
mineralisation. The Bird Reef package has supported uranium production as a gold co-product
elsewhere on the West Rand. Approximately 37 million pounds of uranium was extracted from the
greater region, including from three leases to the west formerly held by the Company6
. Historical
records indicate that the Bird Reef package was never mined on the western part of the Company’s
Mining Right area.

The BRC area has a declared JORC (2012) gold MRE of 1.38 Mt at 2.66g/t Au for 117,600oz Au2
.
Approximately 65% of the contained ounces are already classified as Measured or Indicated, providing
a solid base from which Stage 2 infill drilling aims to lift confidence further.

West Wits has commissioned a 17-hole diamond drill program, totalling 5,750m along an approximate
4km strike with the contractor scheduled to mobilise the first drill rig and commence drilling by the
end of November 2026.
The Uranium-Gold Exploration Program will be staged and aims to:
• Provide additional information to assess whether a maiden uranium Mineral Resource can be
estimated.
• Perform infill drilling to improve the confidence level of the existing BRC gold MRE, which could
underpin a feasibility study to assess a potential standalone Uranium-Gold Project at the BRC.
• Extend drilling beyond the Exploration Target area, along strike and at depth, to determine
whether the Mineral Resource Estimate can be expanded.
Exploration Target1
A 2021 review of historical uranium exploration results1
and the 2008 Conceptual Target4
was carried
out with historical data and analysis constrained to the current Mining Right footprint. The evaluation
supported a uranium Exploration Target for the Bird Reef Sequence within the Mining Right area (Table
2), which was first reported to the ASX on 25/10/2021. The potential quantity and grade are conceptual
in nature, there has been insufficient exploration and evaluation of historical information to estimate
a Mineral Resource. It is uncertain whether further exploration will allow estimation of a Mineral
Resource.

Note: The consolidated Exploration Target is stated above as ranges of potential tonnes and grades. Number
variances may occur due to rounding errors.
The potential quantities and grades in the target statement were developed by analysing historical
mining survey maps, mine forecast plans, surface reef outcrops, and historical production records.
Data was used to create 3D models taking into account the thickness, grade and extent of the Bird Reef
Sequence within the area. The Exploration Target focuses on near-surface mineralisation and moves
to deeper areas with a maximum vertical depth of 1,000m below surface. Table 2 outlines potential
tonnages defined by the early work of 2008, incorporating grades based on modelling of the 2008 drill
program results. It should be noted that tonnages defined are constrained to the western margin of
the greater target area and that the ~3.75km strike length extending eastward remains unexplored to
date.
The exploration work performed in 2008 included4
:
• Detailed diamond drilling (3,390m) and RC drilling (3,298m) program for a total of 6,688m. Of
the 24 holes drilled, ten were diamond-drilled in their entirety, six were pre-collared with RC
and completed with diamond coring and the remaining eight RC pre-collars were not advanced
further.
• Drill results were highlighted by:
• BD005 – 2.07m @ 450ppm U3O8 (at 97.26m depth)
• BD005 – 0.18m @ 1,430ppm U3O8 (at 106.45m depth)
• BD008 – 1.18m @ 350ppm U3O8 (at 252.23m depth)
• BD009 – 0.72m @ 620ppm U3O8 (at 150.20m depth)

• Whilst the program confirmed consistent uranium mineralisation over approximately 3.3km
of the area, the remaining sections of the total 7km of identified strike along the Bird Reef
section within the Mining Right area remain open for testing of strike extension.
2022 Diamond Drilling Campaign – Exploration Results3
The 2022 program drilled three shallow diamond holes (less than 120m below surface) in known areas
of mineralisation to confirm historical information on the Exploration Target. All three holes
intersected the complete Monarch and White Reef sequence, with gold and uranium assayed in the
same holes3
.
Results3
were highlighted by:
• PH1B (Middle Reef): 1.59 m at 835 ppm U and 1.46 g/t Au from 85.11 m, including 0.96 m at
1,321 ppm U and 2.30 g/t Au from 85.74 m
• PH1B (White Reef): 1.20 m at 108 ppm U and 5.45 g/t Au from 104.61 m
• PH1C (Middle Reef): 1.26 m at 221 ppm U and 0.38 g/t Au from 77.00 m
Intersections are downhole lengths. The holes were drilled at −60° into reefs dipping approximately
35–55° to the south, to intersect the stratigraphy close to perpendicular3
.
The 2022 results confirmed that uranium and gold can be intersected in the same holes, supporting
the commissioned program's dual-commodity approach, in which all reef intersections will be assayed
for both metals.

The hole positions are designed to test reef continuity at a spacing intended to support Mineral
Resource estimation. New results will be combined with the 2008 and 2022 drilling data and modelled
using current Mineral Resource estimation methods.
The 4,000m of strike to be tested comprises 3,300 m within the Exploration Target area and 700m of
extension to the east. Of the more than 7km of Bird Reef strike identified within the Mining Right,
approximately 3km lies outside this program and remains available for future exploration. This leaves
meaningful strike for potential follow-up work beyond the current program, subject to results.
